Sometime people avoid third party pick up due to insurance purposes and what if that third party freight caused damaged to the hood, who is responsible for it.
If TF shipped thru their freight, they prob has ins for that item..
As an ebay seller myself, I dont allow third party pick up due to bad experience. However, I do allow people to come pick it up and can inspect the item while they are there...
apparently they do have ins if they shipped thru their carrier, l
"If freight damage occurs all winners must notify us immediately so damage claim can be processed"
jst my $ .02

Regardless of the issue of forcing someone to sell you something....their carrier policy is common practice for a retail sale to a one-time purchaser. There is a lot of factors behind it. Overall freight rates could be volume based and they use all their outbound bundled to provide the best incentives, they are familiar with any claims process if it's damaged in transit, and they are using a carrier they have a relationship with. I don't see what the fuss is about?
