I all,
Guess, I'll tell you my story.
Yes I still own my 67 notch back, that was bought when I was 6. I have this car still. I did brakes and carb rebuilds for my dad when I was 13/14 yrs old. I am 49 now. Dad bought the car new in 67. Dads name is Steve and so is mine. It has a 302 with 289 hipo heads, Shelby Dual plane intake and Shelby valve covers, zoomy scatter shield, top loader 4speed. 9" diff-lock-posi. Complete interior. Although I want to do some frame work and floorboard work. She has a complete 5 lug conversion with 11" frt disks off a 70 BB mustang. and rear drums off a F 350 truck with an adjustable KH proportion valve. I can go to having 100% frt brakes-0% rear and 100% rear-0% frt with this valve and anywhere inbetween. All old school.
**I also have a 66 mustang notch back. Almost completed body. Completely rust free. All 5 lug conversion complete, with 9" housing. Grabber 1" drop springs, both frt and rear. Possible 89 gt motor planned for this. Been in the garage for the last 20+ yrs. 90% of everything has been bought to finish.
**1989 GT conv. Bought orginally for my daughter. She drove it for 5or 6 yrs, (16 to 21yrs old). I painted it with a single stage chevy ss 1985/86 blk cherry when she was 18. I bought it back from her when she wanted a newer car for school. The kids and I (until a couple yrs ago) would take it out on Friday/Sat. nights and have fun with it. The car was a good 10 footer. We want to make it more a 1 footer. We decided to pull it in to the garage do the interior to make it look better. And to do some minor motor work.
This car has a Ganitilly rear 4link rear suspension with 3" adj. spring purch, frt Ford High Performance lower A arms with bump steer mod., Eibach 1" lower springs and sway bars, frt and rear. Also, custom frame connectors. I have the SSI BBk intake, with 7qt moroso oil pan now. The trans has a shift kit and HD parts. 3200 stall convert. Drive shaft safety loop.
The motor is possible for the 66 and the 89 may get a crated stroker.
Those are my 3 fords......I hope that I can help others and get help with the 5.0.....I am still learning OBDI OBDII
