Almost done with my intercooler install...

no numbers yet. When it was on the dyno yesterday, the car would only see 7 lbs of boost at the intake. We suspect that the bypass valve is leaking or something else is leaking so I am going to spend the weekend troubleshooting and have a tenative date of next friday to get it retuned if I am able to find the problem. If everything seems in order, im just going to have to jump down a few pulley sizes. Really sucks.

how bad would it be if I took my bypass valve off, blocked it off and took a quick drive out to see what happends? Would it be to hard on the headunit for one or two quick runs to see if the car boosts up? Im going to try and move and adjust the bypass valve first but if that doesnt work, that was the next thing that came to mind.

im really thinking about putting an intercooler on mine. how hard was it to pipe everything? I want to keep my engine bay clean still. Where did you pick up the cooler and plumbing? Ready to hear how much improvement it made.

I didnt get to do much troubleshooting over the weekend. Going by the store tonight to grab a few things and get started to figure out whats going on. I still suspect a bad bypass valve but dont know yet.

I was able to pick up a new Vortech bypass valve, VMP blow thru maf, and a smaller RR pulley to try and fix my low boost problem. Hope to be able to put it on in the next few weeks and try the tune again. Wish me luck :P

i picked up a can of liquid duct tape and hit all the seams to make sure i have no leaks, i got the same one you have from crx racing and its held up well, i cut the bottom half of the bumper support so the intercooler wasnt hang down to far, that was the hardest part. The foam pad behind the bumper i shved around the intercooler so i dont have to worry about the bumper collasping. As far as the air leak what are you using to connect the iac and the bypass valve to the pipe, this is where i had my leakes after i first hooked everything up.
