Default Headers - so many choices!

Hi all - somewhat new blood here - I have a 2007 Shelby GT and am looking to make some general mods (the way Carroll would have wanted it built) and one of my first will be headers. I'm looking for some input as to fitment and ease of installation for long tubes. I'm sure that info is on here somewhere I just can't find it right now so I thought I'd just ask.

Thanks
LC

Kooks / ARH
If you're doing the install yourself, a lift is the way to go.
Many threads on the SVTP site stating you can do them on jack stands, but anyone who did, wouldn't do it again..

Thanks for the info, which confirms what I keep reading that the Kooks are by far the best fitment and I'll be doing it off a lift I have enough things in my life I "wouldn't do again" don't need another! Thanks again

I had Kooks put on both GT500's.
1 3/4" on the 11 & 1 7/8" on the 14, both run the Kooks " green " cats, ( N.J. is an inspection state ) & stock OEM mufflers.
There is install info on the net, wouldn't hurt to look before you start..

Were the green cats worth it? Do they last?

Default Need Help

Hey guys. I recently installed BBK 1 7/8 Longtubes and Borla Atak catback. BBK said I had to use their catted x-pipe. I am disappointed with this install I wanted to use the Borla X. Borla has no advice and doesn’t make the XR-1 LT’s anymore. I can’t get advice anywhere. Ok, ok, I want it louder. Any advice? Thanks.
