Default Ride Question

I apologize up front if this has been answered already. My 06 GT already came lowered from the dealer, w/ 20" wheels. I love the look, but it rides like there are no shocks in it at all, my friends none lowered GT rides nice. Is this just the reality with a lowered car or is there something I can do to make the rider better. Maybe different than stock shocks.

Thanks in advance.

Most would recommend you switch out the stock shocks with aftermarket shocks. Tokico D-Specs seem to be the most popular due thier dampening adjustability. The wheels will always play a part since you dont have that much rubber on your wheels. So maybe switching out your wheels to 18s or 19s plus equipping the D-specs mentioned above will help the rough handling your expierencing now.

I feel your pain (literally). I've posted about this as well. I bought my 05 GT with 20s and thought the ride quality was horrendous. I was almost ready to sell the car after a month. But I used the recommendations from here and bought and installed the Tokico D specs. It is night and day. The jolting bounces are gone. It still rides stiff, but it is much improved for daily driving. I plan to also move to an 18" wheel eventually, which should smooth it out even further and improve acceleration.

No problems with the stock shocks and springs with my 20's ...added the steeds ultralites in the rear and still rides very smooth just a bit stiffer. Nothing for me to complain about though. The D-specs are great and having adjustability is a must...esp if it is your DD
