I'm trying to get used to heel and toe downshifting but so far no luck. I may have to wait for someone to come out with an aftermarket package for the Mustang of the auto rev match system on the new 370Z

I had only heard of the roll the ball of the foot technique (half on the brake and half on the accelerator). I have a narrow foot and never felt comfortable coming into a corner on the track with only half of my foot on the brake. I can do it on the street fairly well.

Using the heel to blip the throttle is new to me and, more importantly, keeps all the foot on the brake. I’ll have to give this technique a try when I pull the car out again in the spring. The youtube videos are great for showing the technique.

There’s always something new to learn…
