The Cherod article explains the LCA's but not the UCA install/adjustment..

LCA's seem easier to adjust the pinion angle and install, but wich one do I need? UCA or LCA?

what brand is best for adjusting?

To adjust the pinion angle you only need either the LCAs or the UCA. As you mentioned the LCAs are easier to install so that is the way most people do it. Having LCAs also allows you to fix any axle skew (the axle is not perpendicular to the frame).
