Whats the offset on those 5zigen 01r-c's? Those have been on my top-5 list as well. As for the pics, "do not try...just do" (yoda) . We love pics around here.

It's a good thing I didn't go and pull the trigger on those steeda or rpf1's yet!!

Not to go too off topic, as I'm enjoying the discussion going on in this thread, but the words you're looking for are "Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." Sorry, I'm a bit of a nerd.

To one up your nerdism "No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." You forgot to include the initial "No."

Those FN01R-C are discontinued apparently per the website. And they weigh more than the Enkei.

SORRY Not till May - Next DE for me. They are track only wheels so he has them on the rack at his shop - I will drive to the track on the Steeda Ultralites/NT05 now & will put the Enkei RPF1 & Hoosier R6 on when i get there.

Just as well. I won't be purchasing new wheels until around May...

Riptide, I think only the black w/machined lip and hub are going the way of the dodo. At least I seem to recall seeing the same discontinued info on those but not the sliver and matte black.

Anywho! I'm not going to ever say anything bad about Kotobuki and gmoran...you guys are far too knowledgeable about the force...

Ok, back to this thread. Can someone PLEASE tell this tech-idiot how to post full size pics (like Argonaut did). I'm sick of posting those tiny little postage stamps that open up to the size of credit card...

I fit the 5Zigen on and have some info for folks (size, weight, fender clearance, etc.), but I was hoping to show decent pics.

Sorry Rub, I never even mounted the Enkei, but I did take pics of the wheel by itself (just beautiful in matte black).

Best,
-j

No problem about the pics philo. It just breaks my heart the rpf-1's may not work with a bbk. Those were near the top of my list and I knew someday, someone would show up wearing a set. oh well...

As for posting pics in the thread, I use Photobucket (www.photobucket.com). Create your account, upload your photos to Pbucket and you can copy/paste the img link into the thread. It's not too hard once you get the account setup and your pics resized accordingly. PM me if you need additional help, I'd be happy to assist.

I was originally told this was in the 19 lb range...but that seems hard to believe now. My scale is pretty good and I can't imagine the tire specs being that far off. I wonder if the 19 lb spec I was quoted was mistakenly taken from a different size wheel? I'm working with it in the 18x9.5" size. Your thoughts?

FWIW, the new Enkei PF01 is said to be in the 18.5 lb range in this size...sweet looking wheel too. Maybe I just get two sets?

Best,

A shop I called last year actually weighed one in the 18x9.5 size and it was "a hair under 23 lbs." which basically matches what 5zigen's website says. That was when I pulled a 180 and went back to the Steeda wheels.

2 sets is my plan. It's sort of a chess game with my wife. Got the Steedas, which are fine for the track and plenty durable for a daily driver. Now I'll sell the stock 18" fanblades sitting in my garage. Then get a set of dedicated track wheels in the next year or two. "What?? I've always needed 2 sets of wheels."
