BBK Lowering Springs??
#11
If you're doing the installation yourself, just wait and see if you need the other components. I didn't need a panhard bar after my drop. Every car is different, even though they are all the same. I went with the SR springs, and they didn't drop my '06GT the full 1.5", closer to an inch in reality. I haven't had an alignment yet - waiting on things to fully "settle" before I do that.
If you are having a shop do it, it may save you some money to do it all at once. At some point, you'll want shocks/struts replaced. Will you need a PHB? Maybe. Will you need upper/lower control arms? Maybe.

I'm going to buy the PHB with my other parts and ill just install that as well being that I can afford it. How long have you had the springs on and how long did it take to settle them? I would like to install all these myself but I'm guessing it's going to be hard and time consuming so maybe ill have a shop do the spring/dampener work and ill do the PHB and CA's if I need them.

I've driven on them for about three weeks, and the car sat in the garage for another full week when I was out of town. I haven't taken another measurement in a couple of weeks, but I'm guessing they've settled all that they are going to.
I'm ready for an alignment, although I don't think it is very far out of factory spec, if any.
Honestly, if you can change your oil or do a brake job, you can do springs (especially the rears). The only non-standard tool I needed was the spring compressor, which you can rent for free from AutoZone. I bought one for $15 off eBay. Harbor Freight sells one too. Large metric wrenches and deep-well sockets will be required (18-22mm). It took me about 4 hours, with my dad helping to do the front and rear.

I have a spring compressor and when I first wanted to buy springs I wanted to do it myself. Now im getting shocks and struts with it and its coming with sway bars too. My common knowledge tells me though that swapping springs in is basically the same as swapping springs, struts, and shocks. Sway bars I know are near all this but not the same work.

As an update, I had an alignment done this morning. Everything was within spec except for toe, it was out pretty badly on the driver side (which was causing some wear that I noticed). I was at a -0.3 on the left, and a -1.1 on the right. Ended with -0.5 left, and -0.8 on the right for camber.
