Default Road Trip Austin Tx to CO to Ut to NV in a s550 FT PP

Well, Im pretty stoked as I am taking my gt pp on a long anticipated road trip to go visit friends and family along the way. I've been in grad school for the last 2 1/2 years and wanted to do something cool once I am finished. Well, the time has come! With all this covid junk Im setting on a 12 day vacation. My buddy is flying in from Vegas to join on the adventure. I've prepped the car in anticipation: got the oil change done, rotated tires, changed the cabin filter, and emptied out my oil catch can, oh and cleaned the k&n air filter. Running like a top! Plus I plan on getting a gt350 so don't wanna put all those miles on the new car. Might as well enjoy the crap out of the GT.
Must say I am very fortunate to be able to do this. It is hard with a career, wife and everything that comes with it. I had an opening in the schedule and said f it, im getting out of dodge!
Got some plans to see cool locations along the way and just enjoy the road, see friends and try and reset mentally. The last couple years has been a grind and Im looking forward to doing whatever the hell I want haha.
cheers!
will post once Im back to tell you how great it was!

Back from my road trip. I did not realize how much I needed it. I recommend it to everyone. Everything went smooth with the car, we might have broken a few speed limits. No issues. I do want to say that I used track tape for the front end protection. It worked pretty well. However at speeds we were doing, the edges were pealing off, even though I overlapped them and did a pretty good job at taping it off. But it def saved the paint on the front, that much I can tell you.
My buddy brought his radar detector, Valentine. Worked like a charm. Saved us more times than I can count. We are planning on taking another road trip next year, but probably go towards DC.
cheers!
