Default Speaker Replacement

Hello!

I've had my 2017 GT (base, PP1) for about 6 months now, and the driver side door speaker no longer works. I decided rather than just getting a replacement stock speaker, I might as well upgrade both. However, I don't want to spend a ton on it as it's not my main concern with my car and I want to save money for other parts. When I search for speakers online, so many come up and it's a whole lot of stuff I don't understand. I'm simply looking for an upgrade to the driver and passenger side door speakers, and that's all. Not a sub, "tweeter" (no clue what that is but I saw it all over), etc. Just two speakers that can replace the stock door speakers. I don't mind doing a bit of work to make them fit so they don't have to be plug and play. I'm not looking for an incredible system, I just want to be able to feel the bass and be able to play it loudly without worrying about blowing them out. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good speakers that fit this criteria for under $500? I would greatly appreciate the help.

Thank you!

Try crutchfield.com. You should be able to get a nice set of speakers that will fit without any modifications. Their customer support is super. Budget yourself $200 and use $300 to take your significant other out to dinner. They will like it.........

Default Speaker upgrade

I have '06 V6 Mustang and replaced all 4 of stock speakers with 360W Kenwoods hoping for better(clearer) sound----did not happen. In fact, I lost some of my bass. Was thinking of
replacing rears with something to give more bass. Any suggestions? The KW's have a lot of mid's and high's.

Or maybe I should yank them all and start over? Would like to keep stock radio, if possible. Budget= $250. Set of KW's= $120
