Can be Transmission. Either something is loose in the bell housing, or a drum or
something is breaking inside. Had similar noises in my Silverado, apparently the
low/reverse drum cracked, then it finally broke. It was making all kinds of scraping
noises in first gear on acceleration, real bad in reverse. I even found friction disc teeth
in the pan when I changed the fluid and filter... It cost $1000 to have it rebuilt... It's a
known problem with the silverado, that trans...

Most likely you have a bad transmission mount or engine mount, causing the drive shaft to momentarily come into contact with a section of the exhaust.

that's a rotational sound... in neutral all's well. If a shop could put it on a lift and put in drive it might bind it up so you can see where it's rubbing.
Look for "shiny" metal under the car, on the driveshaft which would indicate the point of contact.
