Charcoal Canister
Hey everyone, I've got an 83 GT with a 550 Holley Carb, nearly all of the emissions control equipment has been removed since my car doesn't get tested for emissions. I'm wondering how important is the Charcoal Canister which is connected to the carb and should I remove it or not? It's not causing any problems that I know of, but I would like to remove it to clean up my engine bay. Thanks for your help.

Hey guys I'd really appreciate some help if anyone knows anything, I doubt it will hurt anything to remove it but I'd hate to take it off and find out the hard way that it was performing some vital function....thanks in advance for the help!

Thanks Stallion I appreciate it. I will probably do that soon as the lines are somewhat short and old the line to the front of the carb keeps pulling out after I drive it for a few days. The metal line coming out of the carb is the part pulling out not the rubber hose. Again thanks for the input and any future suggestions.
