put a bit more boost into it.
I love the 4cyl mentality but seriously dont the 2000+ GTS celicas run a low 15 close to a 96GT
um... right... with some good tuning and engine/fuel management, a few extra PSI will become available.

Compression is still really high on those things. Hes running like 6psi, I dont think u want to run much more on that motor.

what is the compression of those things? like 10.5:1 or so? I'm willing to bet that 8-10 psi has been squeezed into a stock GTS engine without problems at all. I could squeeze 9 into mine with 10.2:1 easily.

KBB gave me 11.5:1 for the compression ratio of a 2002 GT-S. Thats pretty high up there. Those cars werent meant for boost anyway

You bet the GTS while in your sixer? Did you end up losing it? [&:]

11.5 is still boostable.

I know its boostable, remember, Im the one who knows the guy in question. I still dont think its smart to push much more than 6psi on 11.5:1 compression even with tuning. After all, alot of people get worried after 9 psi on the mustang GTs little 9:1 compression ratio (I would prolly go as high as 10.5 with some good tuning, but thats upper limits).

I highly doubt that, unless it was an auto. The 6 spds are capable of hitting high 14's in the 1/4. Which is way capable of beating a non-pi auto GT. I have one and they thing would easily beat a sixer, unless the sixer was highly modified.

That would be very very rare. I was browsing a celica forum a while back and there was a war going on between the GT-S and the Saturn Ion Redline (kinda makes ya chuckle doesnt it). Phrases like "the new redlines are actually very fast and are capable of low 15s. They would be a good match for any GTS" and visa versa. None of the GT-S drivers made a claim of 14s unless good and modded.
