Give me a break, you really can't be that ignorant can you? Every car is going to run 15s because you read it in a magazine? or what? You have a guy with one and you don't even believe what he's saying. How much pot did you smoke today?

Too much emphasis is being made on the weight advantage of the GTS...Well what about the torque advantage of the GT....after all TORQUE is what put your a$$ back in the seat......Think about it. 302/133 not even close...That GT will jump out about 4-5 carlengths from 1-2 with ease..

When did I say I dont believe him? My guy is running low 14s with 6 psi... Im really not sure where ur coming from, and because you arent ignorant (or at least thats what ur implying with ur post) you know that it isnt the article writers that drive the cars, but professional drivers on closed tracks. This is true of 1/4 mile times, acceleration times, braking, handling, slalom, and whatever other tests. The GT-S is a 15 second car in stock form. maybe thell hit 14s as often as the mustang GT hits 13s, but everyone really needs to stop arguing that point. any car is as fast as its average speed. and if magazine drivers are getting 15s AND those same drivers are getting low 14s with mustangs, then we can use those numbers to compare. Of course, I could find a track with a downward slope (there must be one out there somewhere), or a miscallibration, or only race with a 40 mph tail wind and shave a couple tenths off my time. That is why my assertion of a documented 15 second car stands thank you very much. because, frankly, it is. There is nothing untrue about that statement. all I said about the celica guy I know is that I can still take him, and his compression is 11.5:1 which is quite a bit more than even you thought. Would you boost a 11.5:1 motor with stock crank to 10 psi? I doubt it.
just to emphasize, the same magazine test drivers are testing both cars. For your argument to work, you would have to prove that they had frank bullit run the mustang for the article, and Southparks Jimmy runnin the celica with Timmy ridin shotgun. BUT (and this is a big one) THE SAME DRIVERS ran both cars, so the times are comparable. If they got a 21 with the GT and a 24 with the GTS, then the mustang is still faster. if they happen to get a 11 with the GT but a 12 with the GTS... well, I think everyone can figure this out.

These are documented stock times, like I said. Its a 15 second car by multiple drivers. If you look around some more, you will find more times in the low 15s.

15 second in the hands of a pro...I highly doubt your average driver will come anywhere near that time...SI i know you love your imports but as i've told you before...Those GTS's aren't that fast...I highly doubt one can manage to run with the newer GT's...If someone would have said a 96-98 GT...YEAH but not the newer version...Come on now...

I don't care what your "collection" of AVERAGES (We do know how averages work, right?) magazine times give.
Basically, you need to settle down a little bit. I never said they couldnt hit 14s. In fact, I said they could, just inconsistently at best. And there is nothing wrong with referring to averages when comparing two different cars (which is by the way the topic of this thread). read my other post, I was comparing the two cars, and the averages speak for themselves. so, in short, way to address a point that wasnt made. 10 points and a gold star. would a GTS even touch a PI mustang? no chance, would it give the nPI trouble, yeah, probably. However, contrary to the original post, the post I was commenting on when i said "nuff said" was referring to an 01 GT. A celica cannot touch the 99-04 GT. I raced one and had 3 passengers back when I had only CAI and still took him by a few cars.
