If I buy an '06 GT Convetible what will I run in the 1/4 mile, how much slower will it be than a normal GT, and will I be able to at least HANG with LS1's???

Also, say I am driving on the Interstate (Going off to college, will live about 30 mins from USM when I move in) and my top is down and I see rain coming, do I have to stop to put the top up or can I put it up while driving??
1. Stock mustang M5 will hang with an auto LS1. You'll need to do some work/ a few bolt-ons to "hang" with the stock M6.

2. You should stop or being going pretty slow to put the top up or down. There is a TSB out for broken 05 linkage issues for the top.

You better edit your post to exclude the LS1 equipped Corvette. You know they are going to jump all over your **** by not clarifying.

Maybe with a GREAT DRIVER! most A4 LS1's are pulling low 13's at around 105. At least the one's around here. even my friend's 100K mile 98' Z28 A4 ran a 13.3@105

Vettes make the same rwhp as F-bodies, they are just a little lighter, but they are also harder to launch.

You've got to assume that the Corvette driver knows how to drive his car. You don't call an LS2 GTO slower than a new Mustang just because there are a ton of people driving them that can't launch them for chit. Know what I mean?

Correct.

13.3 is probably a little better than average, especially for a 98-00 car. My g/f did run that with her auto '01 Z28, though. 2.0 60 ft.

Maybe about 300 lbs or so, so about 3 tenths faster.
