Actually, the F-Body's make about 320hp, while the 04 GTO makes 350hp. The F-Body weighs a tiny bit less though. There are bone stock WS6's/SS's running 12.8's, no bs. But then again, there are people in new Mustang GT's, GTO's, F-Body's that can't get below 14 seconds in the 1/4... all depends on the driver.
Umm wrong! You even used "Actually," [sm=icon_rofl.gif]

School is in session, I'll teach.

The LS1 found in the C5 Corvette, Z28, SS, Trans am, WS6 and 04GTO allmake the same Hp. (350) No engine is better than the other. I repeat, besides cosmetic differences that are specific to each LS1 in the aforementioned vehicles, they all make the same HP.

Okay, class dismissed. Make sure you read the first chapter of "LS1, how GM tried to fool us"

Sorry bud, but no. The earlier (I believe 98-99) Corvettes had 345hp, then around 2000 had 350hp. The F-Body Z28/Trans Am's had 320. The SS/WS6 had supposedly 325. Get your facts straight.
Ah, I see you were fooled by GM's factory ratings. Take it from a person (me) who works on these cars everyday at a performance shop that specializes in LSx powered cars. The engines are all identical (save the intake change and cam change in 01). If that is not enough proof for you go over on LS1tech and ask. Maybe you need to get your facts straight

My 99 Z28 and 01 C5 coupe both dynoed within 7hp of each other. I'm done trying to convince him...He says a stock 04 GTO averages 13.3-13.5 at the track.

Wow ... you think F-bodys make 320hp and the GTO 350hp with the same motor? Everything you say from here on out = poop. Have a good day.

Definately the same motor. Both the LS1 Fbody's and the LS1 GTOs make around350 hp. The LS2 GTOs are making around
390 - 400 hp. Some LS2 GTO's dyno a little too low for a 400hp car. I've seen plenty of LS2 M6 GTO's dyno in the 330 rwhp range. That would put them a little under 400 crank HP. But that's due to the crappy factory tune.
The LS2 M6GTOs with a goodfactory tuneare makingaround 350 rwhp.

And yes, there are plenty of GTOs running high 13s and 14s. The M6 GTOs are especially tuff to launchfor many new owners. I hearplenty of stories about badtrack days and 14 sec time slips from fellowGTO owners. But with someseat time and proper launch technique, mostLS2GTO's owners get their cars down in the low 13s. The LS1GTO'susually mid 13s.

Just from personal experience. LS1GTO's average 13.5 to13.7
LS2 GTO average13.4 to 13.6. With 400Hp I'm sure they can do better. I drive one of my buddies 05 once in a while and it's FAST. There's no doubt about that.
