well i say about 750 for a complete camswap and about 1000 for full exhaust to help the cam, and thats about 1750 to put you at 400+rwhp, and ther are bolt on/cam only ls1's running high high 11's

you guys are acting like an ls1 fbody could make it to the moon at half-throttle. It's a mid 13-second car, no different than the s197...it's also at a weight disadvantage and falling apart because it's at least 5 years old (02 was last year) and gm didn't make these cars to last much more than that. My s197 just pwned an ls1 vette, never mind an ls1 in a heavier car with a hoppity-hopitty solid rear axle making things worse...

Of the6vehicles I own, an LS1 is only faster than my wife's Lexus and my F250 work truck. Please stop acting like LS1's are a gift from God, they are not that fast.
We hot lap, jump in line, anything we can do to make sure we line up against LS1s at the track, even the ones that make "5 million Hp" on the dyno, they just don't get to the other end that quick.
