put in the hands of a capable driver i think the vette will see high 11's. I am still waiting for the numbers from the headers that should be interesting.

You should atleast get some drag radials. Trying to put down that much power on street tires at the track isn't safe imo. Especially if you change the gears.
I don't have plans to change gears anymore. And I'm reconsidering even going to the 8 lb pulley now. I just don't drive this car hard enough to justify all that. As far as the street tires on the track, yea, I know I'd be better off with some DR's....but I don't have the dough to throw at some stickies right now. The suspension is fined tuned really well now, so she stays straight as an arrow whether she bites down on the launch or not. If it starts to squirrel on me even the slightest I let out of it.

It was expected though............since LT's. intake,tune , exhaust will usually net you 40-50rwhp....I'm impressed that with ONLY Headers,K&N, and no cats it dynoed that high.....With a tune it should gain another 10-15hp...

lmao about the mileage thing, I know a guy who has an inspection place by me who has an 05 z06 with 300 miles on it. I couldn't do it, how could you resist driving the dollar for dollar best sports car on the planet when it is sitting right in your driveway.

and as for GM getting ready for the M3 400 hp, they've been ready since 05 when they released the Z06. A superior car in the same price range. Its 51,000 Euros which translates to around 69k US dollars. When the blue devil comes out, germans will cry. All that time they put into the new 911 and it was still slower than GMs technology from 05 and it had a base price that was almost double lmao.

[sm=jawdrop.gif]There was a 05 Z06??? No serioulsy...the Z06 was released in 06..Don't ask how I know

The Z06 is more comparible to the M6. The coupe is comparible to the M3. The new M3 will have 400hp..So GM stepped their game up.487 to 423 rwhp from headers...nice.

Umm, as far as I can tell....the M3 has never been competition for the Corvette (at least, not anytime in the last decade as far as I know of). I don't see a measily 400hp version changing any of that. Hell, the M6 isn't even competition for the base C6 right now. GM doesn't need the new Z06 to toast anything BMW makes........the LS2 Vette does that right now with ease.
