its really a hard decision, the evo is a mitsubishi piece of **** with a plethora of small problems....however, the STi cant handle much more than 400whp on the stock block....i'd say go with the STI unless youre going to go ***** out with this car....

Evo here... I just think they look slightly better....

Of course beauty is in the eye of the beerholder.
Im not really an import guy, but the evo's just look meaner IMHO! They run identical times and respond equally to mods, so basically just comes down to looks. The evo looks like a great white shark and the sti looks like a tiger shark...both look mean, but one is just meaner looking.

Ouch.. A piece of ****? I've got 62,000 miles on mine and haven't hadany problems with the car. For the last 35,000 miles, I've had over 350+ whp. Still, no problems. I'm 34 yo and I'd have to say this is the strongest car I've ever owned.

Also, the Evo's stock block is only good for about 400whp. Going over this starts the timer... - Boom - Sure, you can pull 500+ on the stock block but it's not going to last much longer.

Either way, you can't go wrong with either car!

Yea, I think the consensus here is that you won't go wrong with either choice. Just decide which car drives more the way you want and rubs you the right way in the looks department...........then call it a day.

i'd go evo. it just feels more light on its feet to me and it is alot more unique imo. I am kinda biased though, evo's are my weakness. I am ****ing in love with blue evos.

I've been (I should say driven, I guess)in a WRX (non-sti) and the interior quality is quite nice, but the seats are VERY uncomfortable, that being said, they're zippy cars. I can't honestly offer an opinion, but I'm impressed by base model WRX's. STI's make me drool. I know people that went from STI's to EVO 8's and hate the STI's.

I would take an 4.2L S4 over either of them... but since the talk is about these two cars, I've always been a fan of theEVO over the STI, don't ask me why because I really don't know, I just like the EVO better

furthermore... why is this in S&S?

STI > EVO, and yes that is my biased opinion. I've never riden in or drove either one of them, but I have seen the interior and sat in both of them, and I just like the look of the STI and the interior. I think and have heard by many, that the STI is harder to work on. I would own an EVO, but I'd pick the STI first.

I couldn't keep up with either of them, and I suppose that's all that matters. Time to get modding. [X(]

I think I'd have a decent shot at both of them, but if not than all I need is some gears and DR's.
