EVO or STI??

I think I'd have a decent shot at both of them, but if not than all I need is some gears and DR's.

I couldn't keep up with either of them, and I suppose that's all that matters. Time to get modding. [X(]

STI > EVO, and yes that is my biased opinion. I've never riden in or drove either one of them, but I have seen the interior and sat in both of them, and I just like the look of the STI and the interior. I think and have heard by many, that the STI is harder to work on. I would own an EVO, but I'd pick the STI first.

I'm just gonna toss in my two cents one last time, though. First off, I paid 15,400 for my car. It was a fender behind the last STI I raced, bone stock. I've done a few "free" mods that should free up some ponies and response. Sometime this week I'll have a few more done.I imagine that in a few weeks, with a few bolt ons, I'll be able to line up with him. I know. I'm trying to catch up to a 4 cylinder.
But there is one thing nobody sees in this. It's a VERY over engineered 4 cylinder. Lots of precision. Lots of money. Those are like, 30,000$+(and that's used, around here). I paid half that for my car, and I'm a fender away. Anybody will tell you, mustangs are for those with small pocket books. I'm one of them. =(

If you want input about these cars, go to STi and EVO forums to learn about them, nota mustang forum.

The Evo comes with a bigger stock turbo. I'd have to upgrade the turbo on my STI to run some of the times guys with Evos and stock turbos can run. To me, that is the biggest advantage of the Evo. I bought the STI because I liked the way it looked better than the Evo. If I could do it again though, I might go Evo.
All it takes in either one is an intake, exhaust and a tune and you have a car running 12's.

What year and model Stang do you have and what mods are done? I noticed the 99-04 model in your avator, but that doesnt mean anything because you could have a different car just with that avator.

New car:

To the right is the WRX I've driven.
Thank you all for your opinions and imput. I think I'm going to go to a dealer to look at a couple of both. I just hope I don't get talked into trading my car in on the spot so I don't get raped! To the poster who asked why it's in s/s is because I haven't posted anywhere else on this forum and I just feel more comfortable here. The reason I don't want to post this in other forums like Honda tech or an STI or EVO forum, is because of the bias they will have. The Honda guys will tell me not to sell the teg, and the STI and EVO guys will both say thiers is better. I'm not gonna mod this car as much as I've modded this teg. I have to much money wrapped up in this car and I don't wanna do it again. Basicly I'll get a boost controler, exhauset, new tune, and maybe later bigger injectors and turbo and I'm done. If I can stay around 350 whp I'll be fine. It'll be a good all around car.
