Challenge?
[qoute]You do realize that those 5.9L weight close to 1000lbs and redline at something crazy low like 3500 or 4000rpm. Not exactly ideal for a sports car.
Lets just say it can't be done.
It can be done. They have race prepped engines that spin to about 7000rpm. Diesels are no joke.

my brother works with cummins deisels at work and says they are pretty doggy. Just race him in like a 1/8th mile and i'd think you would take him, unless i'm missing something about these trucks, but from what my bros experience was, they were slow.

never underestimate a diesel pick up, they may be heavy.. but something as simple as a performance chip and an exhaust can turn those things into street monsters. A trucker I know has a newer turbo diesel dodge, got it chipped, exhaust, and a cold air set up, he's torn up a few modded mustangs on the street. Granted your competition is running an I-6 and not a V8, but who knows until the race is over. I'm rooting for ya man.

Very close race. Modded diesels are no joke!

Not saying you're about to get smoked, but do not underestimate a turbo diesel.[:-]
