Accully Car & driver just tested the new 599 GTB a few months ago and they got this:
611 BHP @ 7600
448 ft-lb @ 5600
0-60: 3.3
0-100: 6.8
1/4 mile: 11.2 @131
top speed: 206 (mfr claim)
redline: 8200 rpm
curb weight: 3953 lbs
They also had a Z06 earlier this year:
505 BHP @ 6300
470 lbft @ 4800
1/4 mile: 11.8 sec @ 122mph (the hit 11.7 in a test last year)
0-60: 3.6s (They hit 3.5 in a Z06 test last year)
0-100: 8.3s
top speed: 198 (mfr claim)
Redline: 7000 RPM
curb weight: 3180 lbs
And the specs on the new Mercedes SLR McLaren:
641 BHP @ 6500
605 ft-lb @ 4000
1/4 mile: 11.5
0-60: 3.5
0-100: 7.8
top speed: 209 (mfr claim)
curb weight: 3800 lbs
I dont know how much mr rogors mods have improved his time, but the new 599 looks like perfact competition. However on a track with turns & such, I would think the ferrari would win. They both handle very well, but the ferrari brakes from 70-0 faster & accelarates faster.
Top gear put both the SLR & the Z06 around their track & the SLR is over 2 seconds quicker.

I forget forget where, but I found a video a lil while back of a roll race w/599 vs Carrera GT. It was a good race........ for about 150 yards or so. I would love to see a Carrera GT open it up in person. Those things are just F'ing bad-***!!!!

Thanks for clearing that up for me. A 130mph trap is just ridiculous..that's seriously hauling ****...but Chevy is creating the answer for all these cars as we speak.
