gto vs s197

BWAHAAAA!!! Dude i am up to 15 psi now making almost 600 at the rear wheels he stood no chance in hell. Even at 9psi I garuntee my car will pull him in every which direction.

I kinda find that hard to believe. A H/C/I LS2 GTO will laydown atleast 450rwhp, atleast, probably more. You may be able to beat one, but if he was a good driver it would have been close.

I raced a H/C/I LS2 GTO and beat the fack outta him!!!! He wanted to go from a roll too!!!!

I dont think I'll need it, LOL. [8D]

i see, well good luck against one

As the times I posted above, they are all 1/4 mile times. You will never see 150+ in a race in the 1/4 mile so top end doesnt mean dick to me.

im curious that u said that the gt has the edge over the ls1 gto, there have been gto doing 14.3 in the 1\4 mile and the ls1 gto will take the gto at top end. assumming not all races are 1\4 mile exaclty i really dont see a gt taking a gto at highers speeds.

LS2 GTO - 12.9-13.1 with a good driver
LS1 GTO - 13.5-13.7 with a good driver
S197 - 13.4-13.6 with a good driver
99-04 GT - 13.9-14.1 with a good driver
03-04 Mach 1 - 13.1-13.3 witha good driver
The LS2 GTO will beat all GT Mustangs, but it would come down to the driver between an LS2 GTO and a Mach 1 and the Mach 1 will beat an LS1 GTO 9 times out of 10. The LS1 GTO and S197 would be a drivers race for sure, with the edge to the S197.

we have 2 people on mustangforums alone that have solidly run 13.4's, probably more, and Evan Smith ran 3 consistent 13.3's. im a ****ty driver and i ran a 13.5 @ 105.65 on stock tires with an intake. excuse me, im going to find some more timeslips/proof.
and by the way, does anyone know how to upload a huge file from a cd? someone apparently doesn't believe me.
heres this for what its worth:

if a GTO can run a 12.9 bone stock, which i have yet to see, than an s197 can definetly run a 13.3. there are videos, as evidence. i dont know what the problem is.

As for dragtimes... most worthless website EVER. I could post my car ran 12.8 and put stock at the bottom of the page... that doesn't help anyone.
Post up some more proof and show me accurate info and I have no problem with the truth... toss out numbers with nothing else and I give you no respect and refute your claims (that's how it works.

Bring the proof...I've been down this road on this same forum before and only been shown Doodads results. I did do some digging and found the 2006 Evan Smith runs you spoke of so I have to eat my words on that one. Evan has shown once again why he is one of the best drivers on the face of the earth. It was 13.3 @ 103mph with a 1.8x 60ft (didn't see the vid..just getting info I saw)... Insane.

all i'm saying is, in the hands of a capable driver like Evan Smith, 13.3 is possible. By the same token, everyone knows that Evan Smith also ran an LS1 fbody to a 12.89 bone stock. the 13.3 wasn't a fluke though, he did it twice, and i think the car is capable of it. just needs to be driven the right way, it takes an expert driver to get it there, but the car itself can do it.

I raced an 06 goat in my 06gt.
First race from a roll... I got smoked.
Second from a dig... I won by half a car
Third he missed 2nd and I toasted him
Forth... I had him at about a quarter to a half a car at the 1/4 mile marker... then after that he pulled out ahead.
I know that a 06Gt can beat an 06 LS2 goat from a dig. I've done it.
Stock for stock.
The guy was a pretty good driver too. They are HARD to launch. The guy I raced even commented on it.
He was a cool guy and we talked for quite a while after the racing.
You can beat them from a dig in a 05+GT. But after the quarter they will get ya.
