^! On the street I got WTF PWN3D!!1!!!one!! by an older nissan maxima the other day.. oh.. it was about 15 degrees out in a school zone.. but that kid just pwned me hard.. i had to obviously been racing hard....... (okay.. i know not the same thing) but i'm betting that kid thought i was racing him... i did accelerate 1/2 way down and stopped once i hit the speed limit.. which is quite a bit faster than other cars were going...

I'll agree with you about the chip. Custom Chip, Tuned PCM, same damn thing. Just another way of wording it.
On a second note, I'll have to agree with the others that your not going to touch a low 13. A convertible New Edge with a few minor bolt ons just simply isn't going to cut it. The gears would help you a lot, but having no track experience, I imagine even with gears and a nice set of tires, your first few times at the track you will find yourself disappointed. We all do.
Comparing your car to others and saying it runs times based on their times is definitely not the right approach. Racing on the street is a totally different ball game. There's no track prep which can drastically cut down on the way a car launches. On the side of that, who's to say the guy your racing isn't claiming that he runs a low 13 the same way you are? Did he race his buddy who supposedly runs High 12's and now he is a low 13's sec car too? If you want to know what your car will run, get to the track and get some numbers. Until then your car is still a 14 second car.

Where did I say that? I never said an aluminum flywheel takes a second off my 1/4 mile time! Your just being overdramatic, and putting words in my mouth. I also never said it was the end all modification. I said that in combination with the performance, and suspension mods (which I listed) would put me around there!
I also never said I would beat a 400hp car.....I said the original poster should be running low 12's with a supercharged 2v with bolt ons. If some people are able to do 13.3's with bolt ons, then adding a supercharger to that is going to add more than .2 off the 1/4 mile! If a supercharger added .2 to the 1/4 mile, noone would buy them! Get your facts straight before you start quoting crap people didn't say!
I also know if I was able to keep up with people running sub 13's, then I should be easily mid to low 13's. I can even post up the vid of my buddy that I raced. He runs a 12.78 in the video. I've not in the vid, because it was taken before I owned my stang. I can post up quite a few cars that are mid 13 second cars that I've beaten, and high 12 second cars that I lost too, but hung with. Now using common sense, and logic put 2+2 together and you have yourself an idea of what my time should be! But I can see that concept is too hard to grasp for some

Convertables are slower than coupes. So, I was giving about a .2 or .3 second difference for it. I still know damn well that a minor bolt-on GT conv. is not going to run a low 13, and I know that I'm nowhere near it either. He thinks that damn aluminum flywheel is the be all, end all modification. He thinks it's going to take like a full second off his 1/4 mile time, when in reality, it maybe makes a .1 or .2 second difference in his time.

You see, I keep reading this and keep looking at everything you're saying in this thread and a question comes to mind...
Why are we taking up another person's stupid thread arguing about your "modified" mid-13 second car?!?
EDIT: I drove my old car [new edge gt] the other day and it just felt heavy and slow...without some major mods they're just not that fast, just let it go. Also, like it's been said, you have a conv. which makes you even slower. Just go to the track, run what you run and come back. One thing you need to stop running though is your mouth.

Here's the vid of my buddy that runs high 12's without power adders on a 95 GT vert! On the bottle he's running low 12's! I raced him off the bottle, he won but by only about a car and a half. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/5...f8010a95e7.htm
I plan on running him as soon as he gets his tranny fixed. It's got 150k and with nitrous the tranny is starting to go (it's an auto with a stall).

Bolt ons on a new edge is not going to get you there, hell you would be hard pressed to get that much power on one after a HCI swap
What are all the "no's" about? If they are refering to Dr. Howard's post of a N/A 302 with a nice H/C/I package making 300-320 whp, maybe you should go do some research. That statement is very accurate. As is the one of a 2v 4.6 making that kind of power N/A. Not very likely.
So YES!
