CALLIN OUT 01Snake
Went to summit racingjust for sh*ts and giggles. A ford racing 302 CID. GT40 long block makeing aprox. 345 crank Hp can be bought for 4 grand and dropped right into a 94. You could also duplicate this motor on your own for less. Figuring a 15% drivetrain loss and you have 293 to the wheels. Now this is where it gets interesting. I went to an online 1/4 mile ET calulator and punched in a race weight of 3500 pounds (Car & Driver)and the 293 wheel horsepower figure and it came up with a 13.315 ET. I included the links to summit and the online calulator I used.

You can get more hp than those engines make
they have a bunch of ford racing stuff on them, anyways lots of guys have broken into the 12's in sn95's with around 300 hp
Hell isn't there a guy on here who runs mid 12's in his s197 with like 320 rwhp?

What are all the "no's" about? If they are refering to Dr. Howard's post of a N/A 302 with a nice H/C/I package making 300-320 whp, maybe you should go do some research. That statement is very accurate. As is the one of a 2v 4.6 making that kind of power N/A. Not very likely.
So YES!

Don't youget between 300 and 320 rwhp after full bolt ons and a HCI kit with a realgood tuneon a New Edge GT?

when you get around 320 is when you need head's and cam's
The no was in regards to this
A H/C/I New Edge with full bolt on's will get you there. Several guys have done it in the 4.6 section.
As for a full bolt on + tune New Edge, they get to between 260rwhp-270rwhp. My car has full bolt ons and a dyno tune and it made 259rwhp. I think I can get a few more because my fuel filter hasn't been changed since I got the car at 31k miles, and I'm not even sure if it isn't the original fuel filter.
OneFastEclipse, show me your proof that you 'very rarely' get 300-320rwhp with a H/C/I and full bolt ons.

Why wouldn't a 95 gt be able to run high 12's NA, a good HCI swap on a 5.0 is easily good for 300-320 rwhp
Bolt ons on a new edge is not going to get you there, hell you would be hard pressed to get that much power on one after a HCI swap

Here's the vid of my buddy that runs high 12's without power adders on a 95 GT vert! On the bottle he's running low 12's! I raced him off the bottle, he won but by only about a car and a half. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/5...f8010a95e7.htm
I plan on running him as soon as he gets his tranny fixed. It's got 150k and with nitrous the tranny is starting to go (it's an auto with a stall).
