With street tires then it's best to just let the clutch out while giving it gas as opposed to revving up and just dropping it?

Thanks for all the responses. Been helpful.
I think for now I'll just practice trying to get it into first without dumping the clutch. When the stock tires are about toasted then I'll finish them off and learn how to burn off.

Dumping the clutch at 4k is just gonna blow the tires off. It's just waaaayyyyyy too much power at the wheels too quickly for the street tires to handle. You'll find that dumping the clutch at 2k will prolly blow the tires off. You gotta ease into the power as quickly as you can without going up in smoke. It just takes practice to get the footwork between the clutch/gas and at what rpm works best.
I have no choice but to spin my tires when I get on the gas. My only advantage would be very sticky tires. Even with the tires spinning I still get pushed back in the seat but I want to feel what its like to get pushed in the back seat.[sm=burnout.gif]
