Yeah i got walked by a C6 last week. Didn't get beat too bad we start at 50mph and around 70 he started to walk away. He was 4-5 length ahead of me by 90 when we shut down. I talked to him at the track and he said it was stock and he was running 12.2-12.4's stock.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automob...g_coefficients

there i found a good list

another thing i found out from asking my aerospace PHD dad that is just as important is the amount of surface area affected by the drag. from what i understand if car A had a cd of .26 but was 8ft wide...that car will possibly be slower than Car B with a cd of .3x with a width of 4 ft
This is very tru....unfortunately the S197 has a rather large flat front...I think if you run the math it's notvery flattering...

I hope you guys realize that a C5 and LS1 fbody are dead heat through the 1/4 mile

So the next time a S197 owner thats modded and geared says he beat a camaro or WS6, I want to you same people calling his bluff on that too...

OR

You could realize that under 100mph from a roll a geared/modded S197 should be able to hold it's own against either one

Look at the C5's traps compared to the FBody's.
Sure a bolt-on geared S197 could hang with an LS1 even a little after 100, but it would have to take a good driver.

Like I said, dead heat. The C5 doesn't trap much higher than a fbody.. Past the 1/4 the C5 will walk the Fbody hard, but under 100mph, it's anyones race. I had a C5 before.. Trust me when I say the Fbody is a handful.

2-3 mph isn't much higher?

2-3MPH isn't going to be a much of a difference under 100mph.

The C5 pulls harder up top. Under 100mph the Fbody and C5 are neck and neck.

There was never a doubt about that.
