As pertaining to what? In general...neither mustang can hit 6800 rpms in 5th...well, I know the S197 can't...no way. According to the speed calculator (for a S197) with stock gears, top speed is around 220 for both manual and auto. Frankly, we just don't have the HP to reach that. With lower gearing, you'll get up to speed quicker and be able to get a higher top speed...due to that the lower gearing is just easier for the motor to turn.

He's putting down about 240-50whp with his mods. Stock S197 between as low as 260 to 280. Two people in the S197. S197 has 3.31's(?) vs. his 4.10's...

totally do-able.

 

Sorry guys, I disagree. His mods are more than sufficient to put a nose or two on a stockish S197. That's a driver's race right there.
