i think they took a step down from the rx-7.those cars were sweet.

 

Anyone remember the huge flame war I had with that rotary fanboi like a year or two ago in this forum? I would try to dig it up but I think it got deleted by the mods haha. You can never make a valid argument to me that rotary engines aren't total garbage.

the rotary concept is a badass concept, but they haven't improved it since it's conception...that fight happened when i first joined..i enjoyed it.

 

Those cars are turds...they usually run 15s....the auto ones run 16s.

Rotary concept is a good idea.....I mean, they make huge amounts of power for the size of the engine...they just get *** for gas mileage so a larger rotary engine in the rx8 may make 400 hp but would probably get 6 mpg.

If the concept was improved and made more efficient they would be bad ***.


The lack of turbos in stock form was a stupid way to go for the rx8

Yea you got me on that on, I left a word out, I admit that it does make me look bad when I am making fun of you for a grammar type thing. However I see people type links on here ALL the time, that is not a mistake, they really think that links is the right word.....I mean if this was a site about sausage, links would make sense. (I guess you could make an argument that this site is in-fact about sausage...)

 

I've never raced one. There are almost no imports in my neck of the woods. But i'm sure I could beat one by two car lynx :-P

 

they make 238hp and 153ft/lbs, but peak torque comes in at 7800rpm. plus they weigh in at just under 3600lbs.
