Default Bilstein BTS kit vs H&R ss springs

So, I want to lower my 96 cobra, I have been looking at the h&r ss springs, but I found online at stranos the BTS bilstein kit. This kit includes the shocks, struts and springs and says it lowers the car about 1.5". That to me sounds like the way to go..........right???

Oh, and my application is just appearance....I'll take the performance of a new upgraded shock and strut as well.

Yes.... that is a fine drop and about the max, without some negative geometry changes in the suspension. Bilstein is a fine shock/strut and expect you to be happy. If your goals get more performance oriented, I'd recommend you pick up and install a set of CC plates. You can add a bit of caster and maybe dial-out the negative camber you will pick up with your new spring installation.

Thanks Jazzer. I also browsed the box kits on MM, so let's keep it simple, basically what you described is right there in this starter box....right? It doesn't give the specifics on how low it is, but I'm assuming it's the same......assuming can make an a$$ out of me though. Any thoughts on it?

Ha ha... Don't worry about me doing so, as I woudn't do that *

An MM Grip Box is a very nice way to go and may be just what works for you. The Starter Box is a properly matched set of springs and shocks/struts and will offer a nice upgrade in cornering and little, if any, addtion of NVH. If your looking for just a bit of drop and keeping a nice ride, this is great way to go. Now, if your long-term ULTIMATE goal is to get serious in a particular performance catagory, this may NOT be the way to go

What are your ULTIMATE goals for your ride?
