Ok so I'm coming home and as I turn into my drive way ( a 90 degree turn) I'm doing about 15-20 mph and i hear a squeak from the back of my car. So as I'm going down my drive way I do a Sholom type maneuver a few times and get the squeak the whole time. Is this shocks going out or what could it me?

 

Also if it is shocks what is a good replacement. I believe the car is lowered 1.5 to 2". Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

How many miles do you have on it? Does it feel loose in the rear? May be that the bushings need greased on the sway bar, etc.....

 

I look it to an alignment shop today and they greased the sway bar and that fixed the squeak. You were right on the money.

just a tip for future reference, any time the shocks go bad, the ride suddenly feels like your sitting in the back of a school bus, and it catches EVERY bump in the road. You pretty much bounce so much you get sick to your stomache after a good 10 minute ride. Its no fun haha.

I got a 97 too, and I constantly hear squeaking from somewhere haha. Its so annoying, and half the time only you can hear it but it drives you insane!

 

oh man i hate those squeaks. the ones only you hear.
