a 245 tire compared to a 315 tire your not going to notice really any traction difference if you use the same tire, if you want traction go with a 275 nitto and youll hook perfectly fine.

i have the smae rims as you, most peole like the way the 315 nittos looks on them, meaty but not bulging over the edge. i also have stock width tires up front.keep in mind the nittos run narrower than other tires for some reason.

What size tires do you have? in front and back?

I beg to differ I have identical Cooper brands and I have 275 for the summer and 245 for the winter. There is a huge traction difference for me at least. I. E. If I race from a dig, it is impossible to catch traction with my winter tires. In the summer tho it works out great.

i have a few with the DR on it but it might be tough to see. I have 2 sets of wheels so i don't usually have them on the car. i can take a few pics of the ones with the 315's on em quick if that would help also.

tough to see them in any of these pics.

yeah i can kinda see them in the first pic! Do you have 315's DR for your regular drive tire? or do you just switch out when you go to the track? What do you drive around on?

I usually drive around on the 275 street tires and then switch them before i drive to the track. sometimes i get lazy and just leave the 315 drag radils on for a few weeks when i get back. so i guess the answer is i drive around on both sets.

If you put anything bigger than a 275 on a stock tire it'll wear funny. Even w/ my 275's set at the proper pressure on my stock wheels the middles of my rear tires were wearing out faster than the outsides. So I have to set them to like 24 PSI, now they wear fine. Get a 275 Mickey Thompson DR and call it a day. Those things are like glue when they're warmed up!
Nitto extremes are the same way. Ok traction normally....glue when heated.
