this question is totally dependent on the driver, obviously your car is faster, but out handle... not necessarily

Lol! Unless you are are skilled at trail braking and late apexing a stock Mustang pushes like a pig going into corners. It takes a lot, and I mean a lot of suspension mods to neutral out a Mustang. The IRS makes it a little easier to get the car balanced but it still takes a good amount of work. Hell, even with all the suspension mods I have the car still pushes going into corners.

As for this:

The difference between .8g and .9g on a skidpad is huge. If you look at it in terms of corner exit speed the car that can pull .9g will probably exit at least 5-8 mph faster than the car that can only pull .8g.

are you argreeing with me in arguing with him?
or arguing with me and agreeing with someone else? IM CONFUSED!!

thats pretty much the point i was getting at, i think the civic COULD outdrive the mustang on a tight course, but with THAT track, theres just more areas where the mustang would excel.

Id be willing to bet though, that 5-6k into mods on each of these cars, and the civic would OWN the mustang.... hell for 5k you can turn a honda into a deceptacon

Just clarifying. People that just look at the number may not realize how big of a difference .1g is when it comes to handling performance.

There's a few times a year where a mountain road is closed down around my area, always hear about it from a friend of mine with a Fit really modded though, it's all twisties and he takes m3 and m5's that go for a run, so I dought a mustang can take him on twisties, but when your on a course like that small nimble doesn't help.

I can see you actually beating him if you drove smart and didn't lose to much on twisties.
That's a lap over view of a BMW running track it's pretty fast track min speed is 60 around turn 6 and 7 if you can stay near him during those two you'll blast by during straight away. On other hand if you run short course it turns into a drag race with a couple of turns, in which he'll have no chance.

08 SI Dyno says hes pushing MAX 130ft/lbs tq and not even 200hp
