Ok, so I am going to purchase an 03 or 04 terminator soon and I'm trying to do all of the research that I can. Now, I've heard that If you throw radials on a cobra the shaft will snap and the rear end can't take the abuse. I'd like to have the IRS because I'll use it as a daily driver, but I also want to swap the blower and put some power in it for the strip, for the weekends.
So, is it true that the IRS cant take the grip of radials? If so, is there anything I can do to strengthen the rear end? Because I'd much rather have IRS than a live-solid axle...

Also, I know that serious drag racers have solid axles for the added strength and better launches, but I'm not that into it and would prefer to strengthen the IRs but I dont know what I'll need...
What will I need and where can I get it? Thanks!

I imagine one of the first things listed is 'IRS Brace'. Cheap, easy to install, will do a great job of protecting the weakest point on the IRS.

Lately I find myself hopping it off the line, don't know why haven't changed anything (except apparently my driving ability). I have an IRS brace sitting in the garage, not doing me any good there!!
