Cobra HELP!!
I have 40,700 miles in my 04 cobra and the water pump just failed on me including the elbow that connects the tubing to the firewall. Luckily I was a mile away from the dealership so I dropped it off. They replaced the water pump filled it with coolant pressure checked it and fitted it with a new tube and elbow. I drove the 90 mile trip home to find it leaking a decent amount of coolant from both the front and back of the motor. Anyone have any ideas?
No that's the thing the car has never gotten hot. Quick update the new leak came from a pin size hole on the over flow tank. 350 bucks later it is fixed with no issues and is running perfect. I guess after sitting for most of its life driving it again has shown some weak spots.
Also what indicated it to fail was a sudden steam cloud coming from the coolant hitting the firewall and cats. It poured out from the back. Once we fixed that a pressure test showed water pump failure.
