2003 Mustang (automatic) question about AC and main fan
I think this is my 1st post over here, I registered but I kept my mustang stock never had any problems until today. If any one on here is a corvette or jet ski owner, I am the same user name on forums.corvetteforum.com (89 vert) and greenhulk.net. (05 xlt1200)
I have a 2003 (automatic) bone stock 90k miles. Of course it came off warranty in late April. My AC blows hot air when the car is not moving. Once I get it going it gets decent. Not as cold as it used to be. I figure it prob needs a r134a recharge (It has never had a recharge). Like 2 days later I here a funky noise. It only comes one when i turn the AC on. It's the main fan the on the radiator. It sounds like its hitting something. I verified it is not.
I am pretty sure the bearings in the motor or the motor is going. It still works just makes a loud clicking type sound.
Basically what I want to know is would the fan not working possibly at full steam cause my AC to not work fully? Am I going to do harm if I keep using the AC? The car doesn't overheat at all. It's in a normal temp range with AC on and off. Or maybe the fan is just a crazy coincidence and I need a recharge.
Thanks,
