I just don't wanna mess something up with my engine. And yes it is an auto.
The good thing is our cars are fairly easy to learn and work on. The only advice I can give you is READ READ READ and there is no substitute for practical hands on experience doing your own mechanics. I grew up around my dad working on old fords and mopars mainly(the one handing wrenches, ratchets, sockets, etc.. the gopher LoL ) so I learn at an early age standard tools, I learned metric later on working on newer fords and toyotas mainly. I would buy a haynes or chiltons manual when you want to attack stuff that's harder than just changing a thermostat. I can tell you from experience that waterpumps for our cars are kind of a chore(definitely not like taking out a pump in a 69 cougar), but worth the payoff in every way. Radiators are EASY, o2 sensors are bit tougher compared to the 95 I use to own, but for the most part, nothing is too hard of a task on our new edges, just need time and patience. If you get mad like I do sometimes at cars(hot headed, damn genetics), best to take a break, evaluate whats going on, maybe get a bite to eat or a drink, and get back on track. Ok, I'm done rambling here, speaking of food, it's DINNER time.

JKs - I know, trust me I'm from New York City, I get pissed easily. Plus I drive on an island filled with idiot guidos and girls who are a disgrace to life itself. Let me also say, I am in New Jersey quite often (home of the worst drivers, by far, in America). My cousin helps me a lot with my car because he used to work for Ford and he has an F-150 of his own. Not that they're the same cars, but he wants me to be more reliant on myself and hopefully make me learn.
Ant - Damn, I really hope not. I just had to replace a rotor so I really don't hope that's the case. I'll keep you guys updated.

Ok update... Got my car back. Idler pulley is no good, getting a new one. One rotor had to be totally replaced. I no longer have to put my foot through the floor to stop the car (lol)... However, I took my ride out and it turns out another noise is turning up. Sounds like passenger rear; I'm pretty used to loud and annoying city bus brakes, and this is what it sounds like. But it happens when I'm driving, not on the brakes. Sounds like a "groaning" brake. Ugh!
