it's the alternator, just get a new one

While car is running pull each spark plug wire from each cylinder one at time. I cant remember if your v6 has a coil on plug type or regular plug wire to plugs. Either way you want to remove ignition one cylinder at a time. If you notice one or more cylinder's not effecting your idle, then that cylinder(s) are causing the low idle. Once you find it then you have narrowed down the problem.

so i found the problem guys.. it was two ground wires crossing one from the alternator and one from the battery.. someone before me had them touching each other.. i have no clue how it worked all this time and then stopped but since i fixed it it hasnt shut off
