Aren't yall's cams closer to the top of your engine? We've got them wayy down in the center

yeah they are on top, i just took my motor out but i think you need to take the power brake pump out just to get the cover off on the drivers side, i know the intake needs to be removed, ac pump,power steering res,overflow tank,and a couple other things that are in the way,you can def do it yourself but just need to take your time so youdont forget how it goes back together.

Modular motors are much harder to get the cams out than a push rod despite the cams being in an "easier" location. Want to talk about "lack of room" try working on a 5.0, that motor has no room at all, I love my 4.6 compared to that thing.

The only thing that I didn't have to do which was stated in the guide was remove my ac compressor. I did it myself. I got quote around $1,000 to get it done (thats with changing the valve springs and me supplying everything obviously). Its really not difficult to do. Just make sure you put the bolts in labeled baggies and take your time. Here's mine with the a/c still attached.
