DPFE Issue
I am trying to figure out a lot of the codes that my car has been throwing out. Apparently all of my O2's are reading bad(p0135, p0141, p0155, p0161), purge valve c fault(p0443), and several others. A friend that I know who works on Ford Police Interceptors stated that I should check my DPFE sensor and replace it....he stated that it could generally cause these codes...especially since 3 of the O2's were just replaced. My questions is this...for the 2004 3.9..I have the same DPFE as the 4.6...its mounted up on the bracket and all....is this right? I was told that this is not the right sensor for the car, but I am unsure how the other that was shown for the 3.8/3.9 would go in. Can someone offer me any advice for this?

I have the exact problem with mine. Even the Ford dealership told me I had the wrong sensor on my 3.9l. I'm convinced Ford used 4.6liter engines, but modified them weird down to a 3.9liter.
