2000 Mustang stereo help...
Recently, the clock lights burned out in my factory radio. So no clock, no FM/AM channel numbers right now.
I am thinking to change a new JVC HD radio playback stereo. I asked best buy, the cost will be JVC stereo $80 + $55 labor + $44 wires + taxes !!!! This is really a lot of money for just one stereo. I checked older posts. My questions are
1. Is the installation by myself easy? Is there any complete installation guide I can find?
2. There is a radio and a CD player in my dash, which is stupid. Is there any way I can customize the dash to have a stereo (radio+cd player + clock) and something else?
Thank you for your guys' time.

I have an 04 and I swapped my factory out cause the cd play was shot. I was tired of listening to FM all the time. All I had to do was get the mount kit and the factory harness adapter. took me about 15 mins to hook it all up. Do you have the mach stereo system? I cannot see that much for a standard install on a radio. All in all I spent about $45 on the install hardware and yes I have the nifty little storage spot above my receiver that i can use.
