It looks nice, but I find the lack of windows disturbing for some reason... and how large is the yard?

Of course you can have floor heating with a pit, I worked at WattsRadiant using 2D CAD to design the layouts!

Whether you go with a heatmat under a painted floor or full out water heating you can still work around the pit.



I spent a few minutes drawing this up but its not a bad idea for a pit layout.
Of course the pit would be quite long.

Note the drain sump to keep from filling up with water.

I didnt put it in but a good strong sliding cover should be built in.

Then you can put a lift over that as well, a mobile one like the link I am about to post, that way you can place it in a few places.

My drivers side door hangs a hair low so if it rains and freezes I cant open my door without using warm water.

we got about 8" of snow here, started plowing about 6 pm last night and ended at 9ish this morning

I will NEVER own a 2 post hoist. Only a 4 post. 4 post is a lot more stable, and a hell of alot easier to put a car on.
