Ive either got a bent axle or bad outer bearing in mine....


anyone want to buy a set of DD 10th's with good tires?

tempting but nah i like fr500s

guy said he will give me my money back, if its just the axle then its the same axle from the 7.5 right? but if i find a straight edge to check out the tube and its bent then its going back

Just throw your sixxer axle in there.
As long as its the same year range (99-04) and a GT rear end that means they are the same length and 28 spline.

yeah but what if the axle tube is bent? i mean idk how hard the rear was hit but i dont know if the tube would bend if the axle was bent a 16th of an inch. i dont want to run into problems later

Mark perfect center on each side of the tube.
Use a laser pointer to connect the two and check down the beam for perfect center.
Do this in an X fasion so you cover at least four angles.

You can even strike a chalk string line and check that way too.

alright thanks eric, ill check that out. i just went around both tubes with a level(just to use as a straight edge) and they both seemed straight. ill try the chalk line method some time
