Default Where to start.

I am interested in getting more out of my new Mustang. What kind of options are there if i dont want to void my warranty?

I have never done any modding and want to start with basics. Pretty much learn as I go.

One thing i did notice is there is a bit of a hang time in my acceleration but after that it picks up much better.

Any suggestions?

I would honestly suggest getting rid of the tires. If you do that and then start upgrading the suspension, the car will ride like it's on rails.

Well the pony package uped them to 17inch P235/55ZR17

What tires would you suggest, I had thought the Pirelli tires were good?

I didn't see that you had the Pony Package. Sorry. I thought you had the stock 16s.

The tires and suspension pieces you have are actually really good, if you were to upgrade them, larger diameter swaybars and a strut-tower would make the car handle a lot better.

Ok cool. Was gonna say I do love how it handles.

I normally dont notice the slight hang except when im trying to pull ahead from a stop. There are a few merge lanes in my town that by tradition turn into mini races :-)

Is it true i could see some slight gains just by upgrading the air filter? or if I was to go with some kind of CAI are there any that wont void warranty? Is it just the tuners that void the warranty or is there more to it then that?

The first mod should be an SCT X-Cal2 tuner... this will fix up that annoying throttle lag... it will make a night and day difference in you car! You won't believe you are driving the same car! LOL! I will also go a long way in improving your automatic! And since you have an automatic I highly recommend Alternative Auto... Lidio is the top guy when it comes to tuning automatics... check them out at www.alternativeauto.com. You may want to go with a X-Cal2/C&L CAI bundle to really wake your car up!

Tuners do NOT void your warranty... nothing voids your entire warranty... the dealership has to prove that your mod caused the problem...

Ok thats good to know. I'm not sure who was telling me about the warranty thing.

Definatly will start reading up on tuner bundles. If im going to get one may as well get both and save a bit.

Hey and BIIIIIG welcome Einarr! After getting the cai and tuner think about exhaust. Single or dual is up to you, both sound nice. Don't listen to Scrming on the MRT though, I think he secretly works for them and makes money by people buying their system. It's nice, if you you want to lose about 50 HP...JUUUUST KIDDING SCRMING...MRT is awesome, sounds like a damn stock car after you put that bad boy on. Sky is the limit as far as mods. I am going to go as far as my bank account lets me...oh wait, it's empty [:@]

Yeah the MRT muffler is great. After the CAI & tune. Get exhaust, and then maybe gears and Tlock and then...and then...and then...Careful once you start you may never stop.
