Default Hoodpin Location

so im gettin some hoodpins for my 06 but i need some help on where exactly to locate them. is there a certain place or does it not really matter as long as they are equal .

go look at pics of the cs6... theres a post tonight on it and it shows the hood pins.

I put mine further toward the edge of the car than that. There are actually some holes already in the, whatever part of the car that is that you put the hood pins in, that are a perfect size, and you don't have to remove the hood prop to use them.

I just tapped them and screwed the hood pins in with one nut.

Now, the down side is that it is so thin, the hole gets out of shape and the hood pins kind of wiggle. Not a big deal for me, I just don't drop the hood incase they are out of line. I slowly lower the hood until it latches, then i push it down to get it to latch all the way down.

One day I am going to get a new hood (eleanor style hood), and when I do, you can get a shelby cs6 radiator cover that already has the holes pre-drilled in them. You end up doing what I did, but you screw them into some molded plastic with threads. Should be much more stable. If I knew about the radiator cover at the time and had $175 bucks to blow, that would have been the route I would have gone.

But oh well...got holes in my hood that can't be moved, but I am good with where mine are at.
