The Lightning has a SOHC Iron Block 5.4L Supercharged V8. The Ford GT has a DOHC Aluminum Block Supercharged V8. The engine is built differently too. Same displacement, maybe even the same base, but the engine is built differently. it isnt the same motor.

wholly crap!!!! I think I am gonna be checkin out the junkyards for a turbo diesel engine to throw in the stang. do you know what kind of psi the turbo was boosting? what brand diesel? that is crazy for a factory motor with a factory turbo and just a chip.

yea they have tons of torque but the problem is they have liek 1000 pounds of torque which sounds impressive but it only has 500 hp (the modded ones ive seen anyways) which is great for a truck for hauling stuff but that doesnt neccasarily mean its fast

lol, diesel in a stang? i think you would come across a few problems there. But yea, its insane how well diesels respond to mods, i mean, why cant we gain 100+ hp from just a chip???

well I was kinda joking about puttin a diesel in my stang but that is still an amazing amount of power and I dont care how much hp it has.... with 900tq its gonna put you back in the seat.... may not have the top end, but you will definatly get there quickly
