Default Scratched Rim!

Hey guys, I scratched the edge of one of my rims (BLAH) , and it bothers me needless to say.
I have the 17' aluminum bullitts that came with the pony package

In any case, what are my options:
1) Is there any product out there that would lessen the damage?

or 2) Buying a new rim altogether - anyone have any links, and how much would just the rim run me? Thanks a lot

There are probably several places in your local phone book which will be able to repair your rim, but when I scraped one of mine, I called around and they were all charging at least $100-$150 for a repair. At that price, you're better off to just get a take-off rim from the internet and then you won't need to worry about a bad quality repair.

In my case, I decided to go with a new rim, but unfortunately didn't know about internet take-off parts at the time, so that $89 rim on the internet cost me $400 from my Ford dealer. Yikes.

If it's just a little surface scratch you might be able to polish it out (aluminum polish, I guess...) and have it look okay, but if you ground it down at all and are picky about those things (which I'm guessing you are) you'll probably be happier going with a "new" take-off rim from eBay or whatever.

Hmmm those rims are great, but the center cap is different (I have the horse with the white/blue/red stripes behind it). Does the cap come out?

And thanks big time for all your help guys
