Default Rims

Ok I got this over in the V6 section to but I figured it would be more relevant to put it here. I want to put some GT500 Replica wheels on my car from OE Wheels. They are 9 inches wide with 17 which is what I want to get so I was wondering am I going to have any clearance problems with going to this wide of a tire on my 05.

u shouldn't. most tires are 8.5 all the way around and some rims go up to 10 in the rear but u should be pretty safe at 9. when u put them on, try driving a sharp circle and if the rub, either get spacers or cut the wall......I would get the spacers. and if you look on ebay u might be able to find a decent set for cheap

that size is ok for our cars. just make sure they have enough offset. itsmorefor the new mustangs than the last body style.a reputable wheel dealer will hook you up with the right dimensions.

9 inch and 10 inch wide wheels are commonly fitted to our Mustangs. I have 18x9inchers coming, with 255/45R18s.
Lemme put in a plug for a forum sponsor - American Muscle. They can set you up.Pick somevarious wheels and look at the pics at the bottom of each listing for some idea what fits.

Theres awheelsthread somewhere with 35+ pages - hundreds of pics.

No kiddin. I am sorry but IMO those are ugly as sin. If I couldnt get the GT500 wheels like I want I would aleast go with something more traditional and better looking than that.
