Don't know if you remember the Lamborghini that raced the worked vette, both crashed and the killed a bride and otherson her way to the wedding in the south shore.Ibelieve the passenger of the Lambo died as well. Jusst a few years ago.. I believe the driver of the Vette is in jail.
Take it to Englishtown if you plan on racing.
You could be the best driver in the world and the other person in a POS could crash into you, like the story above..
Or any of the million and one other factors you can't control could cause a wreck.
Just not worth it.

 

You guys are right, my post was only from my 1st hand experience and not the whole worlds.I will look into this, no more streetracing till I find everything out completely. I will do research on the internet seeing all the causes and percentages of street racing crashes and deaths. I will also make a forum in the racing section soon to check it out.Your right, street racing couldbe a life and death situation and I will check all angles, info,and experiencesbefore I do it again. Especially if I am getting more power.Thanks for the heads up!

I'll bring you to work with me one night, and let you ask a racer a couple questions as we load half of his body in a truck.

 

I just want to know everything I can about it's dangers. After reading everything, I will probably be like you guys and never street race again. Just the thought that over125 people die a year b/c of street racing is changing my opinion on street racing. And a found a statistic that found out that 1 out of every 20 people that street race get into a crash. Looks like no more street racing for me. I'll hold racing off for the track then. It's not worth the risk or the dangers to others. Thanks for pointing all this out to me guys. You probably saved me from at least a carcrash in the future.

 

No more street racing...you wont need to buy the GT.

 

I still like power, and I still want a stick. So, a GT w/a stick is still my plans or at least throwing a stick in my 4.0, worst case scenario.

 

just change your "street racing can be very safe" to "more power can actually sometimes save you in bad situations" and it will all be good

Aside from being dangerous, It is ILLEGAL and in NY, they IMPOUND your car, and it can be sold at auction..

In parts of Ca. they don't even bother with the auction, they CRUSH the cars..

Try explaining that one to your parents, with a supercharger or a GT. [&o]
